Last week marked the official end of series 2 of The Student Sessions. We spoke to over 50 incredible guests from over 18 universities from all around the UK who shared their personal experiences and offered invaluable insights for our student and graduate listeners.
Here at TG Consulting, we understand now more than ever how important it is for students to have access to high-quality informative and valuable resources to better their student journey during this very difficult time. With this in mind, we are extremely pleased to announce that we reached almost 4000 downloads this series, reaching out and supporting students from all around the country.
Some of the key topics that we covered within the series included the importance of work experience, diversity in education and the workplace and the experiences of international students studying in the UK. One theme in particular that we kept coming back to was overcoming setbacks and gaining confidence, which is something that we at TG Consulting are particuarly passionate about.
Overall, we are so pleased with what our series has achieved and the impact we have created within the student space so far. We can’t wait to continue building on the series in the future talking to even more amazing guests, as we continue to equip our student listeners with the best tools to succeed.
Here is what some of our student listeners and podcast guests had to say:
Maris Romanovskis, an avid student listener of the podcast, says:
“My best advice to students that are going to apply for a placement/graduate scheme is to listen to The Student Sessions Podcast. Tonia conducts first-class interviews with people from a diverse range of backgrounds who share their thoughts and experiences that can be used for your personal development. Take a look, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed and will undoubtedly identify areas for improvement.”
Miyoshi Tomashiro, a guest of episode 26: Unpaid Internships, says:
“When I first discovered The Student Sessions, I found out that I was not the only one who struggles from time to time. It is a great platform that allows you to relate to others and see how they conquer similar obstacles. I would definitely recommend giving the podcast a listen to see how much university life has to offer and how it is okay to struggle.”
Katherine Ahern, who starred in episode 23: New Beginnings, says:
“I had a wonderful time starring on The Student Sessions podcast. It was great speaking with The Student Sessions host Tonia and being able to share my university experiences with fellow students and providing them with meaningful advice for their journey.
I think the podcast is a great way for both current and future students to hear about the honest experiences of other students and how they dealt with challenges and achieved their goals. When you listen to the podcast it’s like you are involved in the conversation as well.”
